Company History

Piranha Plastics was founded in 1999 primarily to provide injection molding and tooling services for short production runs within the plastics industry. The company expanded to its present location in 2000 to additionally accommodate specialized aluminum molds to its product base. In 2011, driven by its innovative nature, the company evolved to focus on the development of proprietary designs and products that have led to the awarding of more than 30 industry patents for colorant dispensing pumps, injection molded LEDs, and enclosures for Compac Flash and SD cards. In July 2011 the company sold patents specific to the plastics automotive refinishing industries to 3M Company.

Continually seeking new and better production methodology, the company has been developing and patenting solutions for single use pumps since 2014, that has led to the production of the current HemiTor Pump Product Line.
